Total domestic beef consumption in ‘24 was 940,000t, ↑1.7% from ‘23. Imports, ↑12% supported domestic production, which was ↓0.5%. Pork consumption was ↓14% while poultry consumption was ↑1.8%. Learn more 👉 canfax.ca #CanfaxMarket #CattleFacts #CDNag

The CDN dollar climbed above the US$0.73 mark in Jun, to be at its highest point since Sep ‘24. Between Jan and Jun, the CDN dollar ↑375 basis points. There were only three weeks in Q2 where the CDN dollar ↓ week-over-week. #CanfaxMarket #CattleFacts #CDNag #BeefProduction
