This morning EAST DIVISION - Durham Regional Police Service presented a 13 year old youth with a new bike and helmet. He had his bike stolen last year and was being bullied at school. The OPP Youth Foundation will be providing donated bikes this year to support a series of bicycle giveaways along the route.

It’s another beautiful day for cycling as the Ride continues into the Canadian Police & Peace Officers Memorial. A highlight for all of us is the bicycle donations made possible through the Ontario Provincial Police Youth Foundation. PC Adam Belanger champions the program making sure every bike is perfect! It is heart breaking to learn the news out of B.C & the tragic line of duty death of an RCMP officer and the shooting of another officer. We held a moment of silence to remember their sacrifice, their families, colleagues and loved ones mourning this loss #heroesinlife
