One of our Week 2 campers Ella Rae (age 9) sent us this amazing drawing today of our legendary Giant Squid in the lake! From her mom, she "drew this rendition of the “Giant Squid” including Hannah’s Hut, the canoes, view of campsite 3, and the blob all from memory." How awesome!

There’s more going on at Camp Allen than just Summer Camp! This week we welcome back our longtime partners Joni & Friends for Family Retreat, an organization committed to the mission that anyone with a disability can find hope, dignity, and their place in the body of Christ.

Wed. evenings are a special time for Summer Camp at Camp Allen. We gather to sing, celebrate the Eucharist, and hear the Gospel that each of us is wonderfully made and loved by Jesus. This week we celebrated the baptism of one of our Counselors! Growing spiritually in Session 5!

Last weekend Camp Allen hosted one of our most popular annual events, Mom Camp 2023! It was a pleasure to provide a weekend getaway for over 140 Moms where they could hike, swim, play, eat, craft, laugh, and DANCE!

What are 3 things we love ? * All the joy of the "No Utensil Tuesday" tradition... spaghetti night! * Our generous friends @YETI who gifted the camp a full line of insulated bags and coolers for camper medications! * Camp Allen Summer Camp Nurses! They are truly the best!

Some of the friends you make at camp have two legs. Some have more! Bonding in session six!

3,2,1, LAUNCH! What makes a good blob? Height? Style? SPLASH? You be the judge. Going for distance in Session 7!

Get messy. Get dirty. Get wet. Clean it all up, and do it again! Camp is a place to explore your goofy side, your artistic side, or just have fun without worrying about breaking a rule. Getting silly in Week 8!

And just like that, Sumer Camp 2023 comes to a close. Thank you to everyone who chose to be a part of the Camp Allen family, from campers to parents, nurses to volunteers, and our amazing Summer Camp staff. Our hearts are full as we head into the rest of the year!
