We join the world today to celebrate #MHDay under the theme #PeriodFriendlyWorld. Through our mentoring clubs, we trained over 6,000 learners on how to make reusable pads to try to remove the challenge of accessing safe menstrual hygiene products. Read: bit.ly/3WYrb2l

Today we’re launching a new initiative alongside Ministry of Basic & Senior Secondary Education SL - distributing over 78,000 menstrual hygiene kits to girls in 366 secondary schools in #SierraLeone. So that they can have safe, dignified periods and keep going to school all month, every month.

Our research on exclusion in secondary schools reveals: ➡️A positive shift in attitudes toward learners with disabilities. ➡️Strong resistance to pregnant girls’ inclusion. ➡️Violence disproportionately impacts lower income learners. Learn more here: bit.ly/3ROwgab
