Convoys on #Hwy1 thru Rocky Creek open to public at 7 am and 5 pm. Arrive early. NOTE WELL: To take southbound 5 pm convoy, must live local or have existing travel reservation. Travelers headed south to Big Sur at 5 pm will not be able to return north until the next day at 7 am.

All lanes of southbound US-101 will be closed tonight (April 30) from Cheseboro Rd to Liberty Canyon Rd from 11pm- 4am This is the final night of southbound closures. Northbound full closures will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, May 1 from 11:59pm to 5am.

State Route 166 East remains closed approximately 11 miles east of the Junction with #US101 near Santa Maria due to an overturned truck. There is no estimate for re-opening.

Caltrans District 5 and Transportation Agency for Monterey County are in Chualar (Monterey County) this evening for a public meeting regarding enhancing safety along the #US101 corridor. The public will be asked to comment early on in this process regarding conceptual improvements in this community south of Salinas.

#SantaCruzCounty Overnight and daytime ramp & lane closures on Highway 1 near Soquel set for week of April 29.
Construction continues on north and southbound auxiliary lanes and bus-on-shoulder improvements on Hwy 1 between the 41st Ave. and Soquel Dr. interchanges.

Starting Monday, April 29, convoys on #Hwy1 through Rocky Creek slip out are open to all members of the traveling public. Convoys run 7 to 8 am and 5 to 6 pm. Afternoon southbound convoy limited to local residents, essential workers, and drivers with existing travel reservations.
