Shri V.L. Kantha Rao, Secretary, MoJs visited the Freshwater Turtle Conservation facility and Ganga biodiversity interpretation centre "Ganga Darpan" at Sarnath. He appreciated the efforts made by U P Forest Department and WII in ecological restoration of the Ganga River.

A consultative meeting was conducted with Mr. Ashutosh Raj, IFS, DFO, Bhagalpur to discuss the establishment of an Interpretation cum Ganga Aquatic Biodiversity Knowledge Centre to strengthen efforts for Ganga River biodiversity conservation.
