Baby birds will soon be upon us, so please share widely . The more babies that stay in the wild the better. Why you ask? Well, wild babies ALWAYS do better with their parents & if the baby isn't injured, keeping it out of rehab centres saves our precious resources.

-Mom comes back at dusk/dawn to feed her babies, this is normal.

Unless visibly injured, please leave baby hares alone. The worst situation is having uninjured hares in care, and a mother hare coming back to feed her babies, only to find they're gone.

It's crucial to remember the following:
-Babies are left alone for many hours at a time by their mothers, this is normal
-They can easily camouflage in place
-Because hares are prey species, if the babies feel threatened they will often freeze in place and shiver, this is normal

In 2023 we received 44 bat patients from 6 different species. Bats are super important to the ecosystem and offer amazing insect control eating thousands a night! Please help spread the word about how important bats are!
