Last session before Christmas & we started putting together prototypes for our mecanum drivetrain! We gave good thought about using acrylic & C-Channels. Keanu once again returned with Scouts of the Week, showcasing cool robots from across the pond! #morethanrobotsuk #ftcuk

Tonight was very 🔥!! We came back with a bang to find our 3D printer complete with a makeover! We then discussed our plans for building our robot, and with a REV Robotics order in transit, we took the opportunity to start doing CAD in @adskFusion360. Perfect!! #morethanrobotsuk

In today's session, we completely took apart and built our robot again from scratch, we redesigned our mecanum wheel hubs & made our deadwheel odometry pods! We also made a prototype for our intake. #morethanrobotsuk #omgrobots #firsttechchallenge

Today, we focused on fitting our 3 deadwheel OpenOdometry pods onto our chassis, with a custom 3D printed mounting design and a spring to ensure accurate data. We also tweaked and optimised our mecanum hubs. #morethanrobotsuk #omgrobots #ultimategoal #firsttechchallenge

Today we put springs on our odometry pods to ensure they accurately perform localisation, we gave lots of thought to our intake mechanism and we actually trusted our odometry - we ran into a few hitches though.. there's always a next time, though! #morethanrobotsuk #omgrobots
