Congratulations to Shane Loughlin, 5th Year. Shane was one of six students to represent Ireland at the European Olympiad of Experimental Science in Luxembourg last week. More than 20 countries participated. Both Irish teams were awarded Bronze Medals in the contest. Well done.

Congratulations to Calasanctius College student Conor Penny who won the All-Ireland Boys U-17 Indoor High Jump with a competition record of 2.04m. Conor has qualified to represent Ireland in the Under-18 European Athletics Championships in Banská Bystrica, Solvakia this summer.

Well done to the 1st year boys Gaelic Football team, who beat St. Muredach's College Ballina in the Connacht Quarter Final, played outdoors in Bekan in tough conditions. The team will now play Holy Rosary College Mountbellew in the semi-final next Tuesday at 12:30 in Bekan.

Leaving Certificate students got a welcome break today during RE class, with an Easter treat comprising goodies and a cuppa. It was a chance to chat and catch up. As an added bonus, a free raffle boasting numerous prizes added to the excitement.
