Some of the events during Wellbeing Week in Calasanctius College

Well done to the Calasanctius College first year football team who overcame Holy Rosary College Mountbellew in the Connacht semi-final on Tuesday in Bekan. Calasanctius will now play St. Attracta's Community School from Sligo in the Connacht final in Bekan, in two weeks’ time

Congratulations to five Calasanctius students who are part of this year’s Galway Minor Football squad. A very proud day for the school to have five pupils representing their county.
Well done Alan, Michael, Niall, Shay and Séan and wishing you all the best for the season ahead.

Congratulations to Shane Loughlin, 5th Year. Shane was one of six students to represent Ireland at the European Olympiad of Experimental Science in Luxembourg last week. More than 20 countries participated. Both Irish teams were awarded Bronze Medals in the contest. Well done.

Second Year Geography trip to Doolin Caves and a boat cruise around the Cliffs of Moher.

Congratulations to Samuel Cahill and Ethan Cahill who won the Dublin Smartphone Festival Under 16 for the third time in a row, for the short film, The Quest.

Congratulations to Calasanctius College student Conor Penny who won the All-Ireland Boys U-17 Indoor High Jump with a competition record of 2.04m. Conor has qualified to represent Ireland in the Under-18 European Athletics Championships in Banská Bystrica, Solvakia this summer.

Well done to the 1st year boys Gaelic Football team, who beat St. Muredach's College Ballina in the Connacht Quarter Final, played outdoors in Bekan in tough conditions. The team will now play Holy Rosary College Mountbellew in the semi-final next Tuesday at 12:30 in Bekan.

We would like to wish 5th year student, Shane Loughlin the very best of luck at the European Olympiad for Experimental Science in Luxembourg this week, 7th - 14th April.
Well done Shane on this wonderful achievement and good luck to all the members of the Irish team.

Leaving Certificate students got a welcome break today during RE class, with an Easter treat comprising goodies and a cuppa. It was a chance to chat and catch up. As an added bonus, a free raffle boasting numerous prizes added to the excitement.
