Guess it's safe to do this now. Against all expectations and my skepticism, #TransformersOne is easily the best Transformers film to date, and manages to tell the origin of the war in a condense and meaningful manner, with rich worldbuilding, great animation and strong voices.

It’s funny because like Megatron was just this crazy dude obsessed harnessing the power of dams or changing the orbit of the earth for shenanigans. And if I remember rightly Prime would sometimes dabble in basketball or other japery. Transformers is kids stuff and I love it:

.Matt Ferguson sent me a delightful gift of his original artwork for a film I saw FOUR TIMES opening day, 6-4-82 at the John Danz Cinema in Bellevue, WA. His work mythologizing a film in one image is single-handedly reinvigorating the lost art of the painted movie poster.
