FREEDOM OF THE BOROUGH Delighted that my proposal to honour Simon Armitage, Joan Gorton & Sir Patrick Stewart with Freedom of the Borough, the highest honour the Council can bestow to a citizen was accepted by council in March & today we held a ceremony to present their scrolls.

Fostering good working relationships with our new MP's for Colne Valley & Huddersfield is crucial to ensure we can escalate case work for our residents when required. Cllrs Cahal Burke, Ashleigh Robinson & I will seek to work productively with our MP's to get positive outcomes.
