CRE Teacher of the Year!! Coach Cordaway's commitment to creating a culture of wellness incorporates valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, & self-confidence. She is more than just a physical education teacher; she is a mentor, a role model, & a true of inspiration.

Our students soared to the top of the thermometer by earning enough class compliments, unlocking a school-wide sherbert treat! Mrs. Kennedy, Mrs. Sealy, and Ms. Walters personally delivered sherbert to all classrooms so every student could savor their well-deserved reward!

Congratulations to Amicus for winning the weekly point challenge and earning a special lunch on stage! The students were bursting with excitement, with some exclaiming, "This is the best day of my life!" and "I am so, so happy right now!"

The first graders dazzled in their Communication Showcase, presenting a captivating Fairy Tale Readers Theater. They excelled in voice projection, body language, character portrayal, and overall performance skills.

The fourth graders excelled in their Communication Showcase, where they presented their own written poems, inspired by George Ella Lyons' 'I Am From.' Their dedication was evident in the effort they put into crafting their poems and with their impressive presentation skills.

2nd graders participate in the Longhorn Market. They create a product, set a price, design advertising, & sell their creations to fellow students. They created Google Slides presentations & delivered pitches to their classmates & parents as part of their Communication Showcase.

Kindergarten students visited the Cameron Zoo in Waco to research an animal of their choice by observing the animal's habitat and characteristics. Afterwards, they wrote scripts based on their findings, which they presented during their Communication Showcase.

Today our ECSC students had a special visit from a local farm! The students got to see a variety of animals up close. The farm visit provided a wonderful hands-on learning experience for our students, allowing them to connect with nature and learn more about different animals.

Yesterday was our Longhorn Market for our 2nd graders. Students chose a product to create and sell to their classmates. They worked on crafting a business plan and designing a storefront. Last week, they presented their products to the class and parents, like the show Shark Tank.

A big thank you to SistersAct Performing Arts for organizing a fantastic show featuring our fifth graders. It was a joy to see our talented students shine on stage. Special thanks also to the Cactus Ranch PTA for their contributions in making this event possible!

Today, our students had the incredible opportunity to witness the Total Solar Eclipse! They have created memories that will last a lifetime! #eclipse2024

Ms. McMullen's 3rd-grade mathematicians were on a stellar mission: helping astronauts return to Earth in our Out of the World Transformation Room put together by our amazing Cactus Ranch PTA! Bravo to Ms. McMullen's 3rd graders for their out-of-this-world efforts!
