Did you know that University of Illinois Chicago was the first fully planned, public urban university in the country? And the buildings on campus tell the tale through their architecture. 🏙️ Try a walking tour and learn the how, when, why, and who behind prominent buildings: ow.ly/HNgo50W7g4k

First bullet of the Lazard LCOE 2025: "On an unsubsidized $/MWh basis, renewable energy remains the most cost-competitive form of generation. As such, renewable energy will continue to play a key role in the buildout of new power generation in the U.S. This is particularly true

Metascience is having a moment! Here, in a new funding institution. Key moment: “Where's the gap? […] what about a research organization that gives 100-year grants?” Metascience often focuses on mission and short timelines, which can be orthogonal w/discovery science

More EVs are now sold every year in China than cars - of all sorts - are sold in the US. This trend isn't stopping. EVs are all of the growth in the global auto market since 2017. via Felix Hamer • electricfelix

The glut of papers we have with respect to eyeballs means research is likely leaking important information. Setting aside IP issues, this fact makes the idea below very appealing. Somebody better train AIs to judge the quality of results in papers, though!

What if we told you you can now program virtually any gradient composition into a hydroxide precursor to make durable Li-ion cathodes? That's the gist of a new ACSEnergyLett with group alum Sam Yoo's team. Check out how! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Congratulations to a powerhouse of ⁦JCESR⁩ alums for their ⁦J. Am. Chem. Soc.⁩ paper using NMR to probe Mg motion in antiperovskite mixed anion solids. NMR nerds will admire those linewidths. And yes, Mg actually moves! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…
