Work is the sacrifice of the moment for the creation of better opportunities in the future. As it turns out, those sacrifices are incredibly beneficial as it almost always yields positive returns. Work hard and take it seriously!

Steven’s understanding of movement as it relates to pitching is very impressive. There’s a bright future for this young mind. x.com/iamchrisayy/st…

There is often an impression that heartfelt desire and hard work alone are sufficient to yielding improved performance. You can only get there through deliberate practice executed over a sufficient period of time.

Every hitter and coach must watch this. This is awesome stuff from an elite Big League hitter. Aaron Judge talks about depth in the swing, which is something you can’t get by hammering down to the ball (throwing your hands at it). #TripleCrownBaseball #EducateTrainInspire

Today’s LD tip a simple drill you can do at home to help you to shallow the club from the top of the backswing and get rid of that nasty steep cut. Enjoy 😊

After many years of work, I’ve finally published my first novel ‘Sun and Water’. It is a fictional, coming of age story available at Amazon

1. WB programs shouldn’t be 1st training modality as developing thrower. 2. Year-Round throwing is never the answer. 3. WBP needs to be closely monitored and periodized for intent + volume. elitebaseballperformance.com/are-weighted-b…

Blending rotational capacity with a more sport-specific application. Hitting is more complex than SSC and trying to hit the biggest output number. Still need to cover a big range of velocities, and showcase power to all fields.

Chris Antariksa (@iamchrisayy) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Unpopular fact: SSC loading parameters differ greatly in hitting and pitching. Hitters cannot “stretch torso” without adverse effects to being a good hitter; whereas a pitcher with great timing should be encouraged to create as much separation as possible.

A brilliant mind for the game of baseball, added to his proficiency of teaching the swing. Tremendous addition to AZ’s staff. You are the man, @EP_hitting! 👊🏾 x.com/nickpiecoro/st…

Strive 2 always train your body in an effort to prepare it to perform certain actions. Year round throwing will wreck your body, especially if there’s nothing being done in the intermediary 2 alleviate the one-sidedness. S.A.I.D. doesn’t always presuppose positive adaptations

Glute Med and Minimus are hip internal rotators, so you don’t need to “drive your knee down” to create rotation in pitching and hitting. Change my mind. #hiprotation #pitchers #hitters

Summer or Fall seasons, depending on how your volume of playing in Spring season. Athletes should look forward to competition in particular seasons, not become desensitized to it. x.com/iamchrisayy/st…

One of the things that is so humbling to me as a coach is that after decades of success with hitters, Craig still strives to learn, grow, and utilize the data that’s available. He was giddy to watch the info that could be accumulated to further help develop elite level swings.
