We have waited 8 yrs, and it's finally out: IPCC AR6! With more than 10,000 pages long across the Working Groups, at the EGU Cryosphere @egu-cr.bsky.social #Cryoblog, we thought it might be useful to highlight the main cryo-findings! Check it out here➡️blogs.egu.eu/divisions/cr/2…

I was wise enough to convince Dr. Andrey to serve on my PhD supervisory committee back in the day. A ferocious editor with boundless and contagious positive scholarly energy. And a mentor to so many. Congratulations!

New post-doc opportunity: How will climate change influence mobility within and through the Canadian Arctic? Work with northern communities to develop informed adaption options alongside Sapna Sharma, Dr. Jackie Dawson, @riwoolway myself, and other good folks!

A few things to catch up on after some weeks away: 1/4 Super work from the snow community to produce this comprehensive new review paper on Ku-band radar remote sensing of snow mass. Invaluable as we continue to develop a Ku-band SAR mission in Canada. tc.copernicus.org/articles/16/35…

2/4 Airborne Ku-band radar datasets from multiple campaigns are now clearly described and available with one stop: essd.copernicus.org/articles/14/39…

This is very nice! A huge thank-you to my colleagues, collaborators, and mentors. Science is a team sport, and I’ve been very fortunate to be part of exceptionally collegial research networks from my days as a student in Waterloo Environment, through to my current team ECCC SciTech.

And a specific thank you to Ellsworth LeDrew and Barry Goodison, two pillars of the Canadian cryosphere research community, who set me on my path and kept it clear!
