Today we recognize organizers/volunteers from the Fiesta Commission. 100 spectacular events for 11 days beginning April 18th! The party with a purpose raises money for nonprofits and has an annual economic impact of more than $340 million.

We gathered Friday with Child Advocates of San Antonio for the Memorial Wreath Laying & Candlelight Vigil to honor the memory of the innocent children who fell victim to abuse. We vow to amplify efforts to raise awareness, provide support, & advocate for justice on their behalf.

In Austin to meet with Travis Cty Judge Andy Brown & group of govt & industry leaders to take part in a new coalition - Texas Passenger Rail Advisory Committee. The Committee will help direct a strategy to bring passenger rail to Central TX. and San Antonio to Austin. #SATX #ATX

Joined Judge Veronica Vasquez to address policy related to elder abuse reporting. We hope to make the Elder Abuse Reporting Policy the first of its kind in the state of Texas and a policy for other cities to model. Look for this item to be discussed at City Council this summer.
