Around 15 of us were out on Hounslow Heath with Andy from Lampton this morning - lots of reptiles spotted in one of London's hidden gems. Andy leads a weekly volunteer session on Wednesdays from 10am and is always keen for new recruits. Meet at the Visitor Centre on the Heath

Nic’s litter pick at Minet Country Park today turned into a 5 1/2 hour session. He took his rake with him and in his words, he “gave the place a good thrashing”. 40 sacks of rubbish pulled out, but still plenty more in there...

A good video showing natural geomorphological changes in a river channel.

We wood-chipped around 300m along the Little Park footpath at our Volunteer Day last weekend. We plan to return here next month to complete it. We also hope for progress this year with new structures to cross the ditches - which have been heavily flooded recently.

The working horses will be out again in Crane Park next Monday and Tuesday - doing the first meadow cut 🐴 🐴
