Huge congrats to volunteer editor Dr Viola Ross-Smith (dormant) on getting the latest The Seabird Group journal out! It’s a storm petrel bonanza and contains my new paper but the highlight for me has got to be this whole page of RSPB Ramsey Island wonder dog, Dewi!
Great to see all the posts with the latest The Seabird Group journal :). Several Cardiff University Team Stormies papers - Sarah Long 1st, 1st-author paper detailing a fantastic #habitat #map :) & Zoe Deakin on acoustic monitoring. Looking forward to seeing my hard copy once home! #isletstormies
For #InternationalDayofWomenandGirlsinScience, meet some of my wonderful research group. Zoe Deakin is studying population change and the breeding/ foraging ecology of storm petrels (Leach's and European) in the North Atlantic as part of Cardiff University Team Stormies Cardiff University School of Biosciences
For #InternationalDayofWomenandGirlsinScience, meet some of my wonderful research group. Dr Hannah Hereward is studying the ecology and conservation of two species of Storm-petrels (Band-rumped and the endemic Monteiro's SP) on the Azores, as part of Cardiff University Team Stormies Cardiff University School of Biosciences
For #InternationalDayofWomenandGirlsinScience, meet some of my wonderful research group. Annalea Beard is studying the ecology and conservation of Band-rumped Storm-petrels and Red-tailed Tropicbirds on St Helena, as part of Cardiff University Team Stormies Cardiff University School of Biosciences
For #InternationalDayofWomenandGirlsinScience, meet some of my wonderful research group. Sarah Morgan Nikolas is studying the parasite communities of seabird communities, as part of Cardiff University Team Stormies Cardiff University School of Biosciences. Sarah also runs Eco-ExploreEducation within eco-explore.co.uk
For #InternationalDayofWomenandGirlsinScience, meet some of my wonderful research group. Lucy Rowley is using DNA-based methods to study various topics in #ornithology including Storm-petrel migration/dispersal Cardiff University Team Stormies, Parakeets, and (coming soon?!) re-introduced Eagles.
