Delighted to have our recent work on dual responsive foldamers published in Chem. Eur. J. Thanks to Alex Davis, Jack Dismorr, Louise Male and Jim Tucker (Jim Tucker) for all the hard work! doi.org/10.1002/chem.2…
We’ll be at RAPS 2024 at Durham University later this week! Come and meet our Assistant Editor, Paul, and chat about publishing in Polymer Chemistry or any of the Royal Society of Chemistry journals. RAPS Organisation
A position available Imperial Materials in Biomaterials. Please retweet Lecturer / Senior Lecturer / Reader in Biomaterials at Imperial College London (jobs.ac.uk)
Looks like the #RAPS24 meeting was a huge success as usual for RAPS Organisation events! Gutted I couldn't be there but glad I could keep up to date on here. We had representation from the Aston Institute for Membrane Excellence Engineering@Aston team, all of which were first time attendees... 1/4
Had an absolute blast at RAPS Organisation in Durham, another brilliant meeting. Particularly proud to see members and ex-members of the group presenting their fantastic research, Dr Hulya Bayraktutan (now at Cambridge) and Dr Ben Fiedler. Looking forward to hosting at UCL for 2025!
Really excited to announce that I've been awarded a The Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Fellowship to be hosted UoBChemistry from early next year. Grateful for the opportunity to build a research group that will study complex nanoparticle systems. PhDs to be advertised soon!
Today starts a new journey and i'm excited to say it's my first day as an independent research fellow at Aston University as part of Aston Institute for Membrane Excellence. Thanks to Andy Cooper for having me in his group for the past year. I wouldn't have been able to make this next career step without it!
PLEASE RETWEET: Come and spend 3.5 years in our group using DFT and AI/ML to find and characterise new wide band gap oxides for optoelectronics, in our shiny office in our fancy new building! UoBChemistry UoB Advanced Research Computing (BEAR) tinyurl.com/3ntx7prh Photo credit to Peter Slater!
The newly launched Fielden Research Group (fieldengroup.net) has two open funded PhD studentships! UoBChemistry Group members will learn loads, from organic synthesis to microscopy. Please get in touch if you'd like to know more. RT much appreciated! Details below:
