I wish @Twitter and Elon Musk would make a feature where you could denote that you’re ironically searching for a profile/topic because you think that person’s an idiot and find joy in their terrible takes so that you can do it without ruining your algorithm of recommended posts.

Things that did _not_ kill kids today: - a renaissance sculpture - a film about Ruby Bridges - drag queen story time - the word ‘tampon’ - critical race theory - woke banks - saying that Rosa Parks was Black - gender-affirming care - ‘The Bluest Eye’ What did: -an AR-f––ing-15

The Masters is one of my favorite sporting events, and its 85+ year history brings some great traditions. So here's a running list of the most interesting facts: 1. Media tickets (badges) have RFID tags inside them so the club knows where each person is at all times.

Oh you’re going to a teaching hospital in July? Well get ready… for the most compassionate care from extremely empathetic interns along with their vigilant supervising attendings. Hope you like open ended questions and doctors listening to you bc you’re gonna drown in it.

I’m considering handing out a sheet of objectives/expectations at the beginning of the week in the ICU to students/residents. Is this something others are doing? Is this helpful? Annoying? Pretentious? @GarrettRamponMD Sonia Castillo, MD, FCCP Matt Siuba Gabriel Bosslet Nick Mark MD Scott Matson

To writers of LOR for residency/fellowship, I get that applicants waive their right to see their letters. What is the purpose of this? Do you show them anyway? Why do we hide saying nice things about people? Sahil Pandya Gabriel Bosslet Nancy H. Stewart, DO, MS (she/her) @sqsimp

Going to try sharing a “clinic patient chart review” template/checklist with the fellows. for reviewing patients prior to clinic. It seems to be something fellows find difficult as they’re thrust into subspecialty care after 3 years of primary care. What would you change?

I’m proud of our graduating fellows Drs. Hamna Ahmad, Kris Jones, and Mostafa Aboubakr for passing critical care boards! Very pleased and not at all surprised :)

January is Mentorship month. I wanted to extend some thanks to (in no particular order) Latham, Mark Hamblin, Sonia Castillo, MD, FCCP, Sahil Pandya, and Scott Matson. I hope one day make the same impact for someone that you all did for me. Thank you so much for all you did!

One of the best parts of an ICU week is treating my always fabulous team to a free lunch. It’s the least I can do to thank for them all of their hard work and great care. It was a nice plus to enjoy it outside on a beautiful day! UMKC Internal Medicine Residency Program UMKC School of Medicine

I had a tremendous night celebrating our UMKC Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship graduates. I’m fortunate to have watched them learn and grow. I would let them take care of my family any day. Congrats, Salil B. Kulkarni, MD and Drs. Brent Frossard and Dushyant Ramakrishnan!
