Driver stopped in Chilwoth by #SPCasualtyReduction officer as their number plate was noticeably altered. The driver admitted putting a bolt through the 0 to make it a U and mis-spaced the letters, just so it reflected his job. Driver issued a fixed penalty, and DVLA notified.

Yesterday we took part in a Joint Operation Stop Check on the A22 with colleagues from Sussex Police, the EA, ESCC and DVSA. 20 Vehicles were stopped and checked with advice provided to multiple businesses regarding their waste carrying activities.

In just 4 weeks, an astonishing 888 vehicles stopped, 635 as the driver was using their phone. #OpTramline 2024, where #VanguardRST supported by other officers from Surrey Police & Sussex Police, utilised the National Highways unmarked truck on the A3, M25, M23 & A23. #Fatal5
