Seasons Greetings! Update. As of Nov 1 2023, I have moved my lab to Temple Med School as Director of CSAR . I am thrilled to be in my new 'home', making new friends, to move #substanceusedisorders research forward! Dean Amy Goldberg is thinking 'Big and Bold'.

Excited to share this new paper from my group! Jennifer Zachry and Munir Gunes Kutlu show that D1 and D2 MSNs in the nucleus accumbens do not have opposing actions and neither population signals reward. Instead, D1 MSNs respond to salient stimuli and D2 MSNs to prediction errors
