With support from the players of Postcode Lottery, volunteers at National Waterways Museum have been creating 3D digital models of objects in our collections. As they're exhibited online, people are now able to connect with our treasured history from the comfort of their home.

A new community mural, created by local artist Helen Thompson, has officially opened Lancaster Canal Towpath Trail in an underpass, below the A65 near M6 Junction 36 Auction Mart, which complements recent towpath improvements on the Northern Reaches. Read more here👉shorturl.at/YaC6q

Ahoy there! The Conwy Pirates are taking over Anderton Boat Lift & Visitor Centre this weekend (21-22 June) as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations. Set amongst National Waterways Museum, you’ll find Porters Row – a row of cottages, built in the 1830s to house those working the docks in Ellesmere Port. The four properties that remain are now dressed to recreate homes from 1830s, 1900s, 1930s and 1950s, acting as a window to the past 🪟
