Course is looking exceptional heading into a busy weekend, starting today with Royton CC golf day. Cut & iron on the greens today. Tomorrow is the captains first round, & Sunday we have the Royton Sword 36 hole scratch. Good luck to all of the players this weekend, & enjoy⛳️☀️🍻

Big congratulations to CRGC’s Alfie Yearsley winning the Royton Sword with a solid 73+68=141, & also Brampton Golf Club’s Andrew Hunter with 66+70=136 to win the Salver. Lots of positive feedback about the course today, we hope to see another full field again next year⛳️🏌🏻☀️

Greens team are company day champions 2025, the old saying ‘greens were class’. Cheers boys🍻🤌🏼⛳️

A little bit of surface refinement on the greens, to keep them as true as possible. Light verti-cut, followed by a cut, top dress and brush in. Holes have been changed ahead of tomorrow’s competition. ⛳️

Course is prepped and looking great for the Oldham District Golf league centenary (net), & district (scratch). Play well all, and have a good weekend.☀️⛳️🍻

Just an iron on the greens today, after a cut yesterday. The course is looking great ahead of an indefinite burnout☀️☀️⛳️⛳️

The golf course is very burnt out at the minute and playing very links. However, hot temperatures and no rain means we’re battling with hotspot and disease on the greens. Plenty of hand watering going on now, to make sure the greens stay in good condition.☀️⛳️

A bit of green amidst all the brown & a busy week with only 3 of us. However, we’ve knocked it out the park & the course is looking great. Back to 4 tomorrow, with a full course set up & cut & iron - for the Holden cup 1st round. With the same again for Sundays 2nd round⛳️☀️

A battle against the weather this week, plenty of rainfall but it has greened the place up. The heavy rainfall had also washed in all the bunkers which have now been replenished. Full course has been cut & some preparation work for next week greens maintenance has been done.⛳️⛳️

Greens maintenance complete, scarify to -15mm, verticut to -1mm, cut, top dress & brush in. Tractor breakdown meant the verti-drain was put on hold. Letting the recovery start and then give it a boost over the next few days with a feed or two.⛳️🤌🏼

100mm of rain this month and climbing day by day. In the meanwhile, teas have been verti-drained, some semi-rough has been cut. With no play on the course, the 9th tees has been scarified, overseeded, top dressed and fertilised. ⛳️

More heavy rain last night and this morning. We’re trying to squeegee as much as we can but we’re definitely not moving anything from the last two photos. The joys🫠😂

Nice week so far here, the course has dried out nicely. Full course will be cut tomorrow and bunkers being trimmed up, it’s looking good heading into the weekend.⛳️

Got the course looking decent after plenty of rain last weekend. Greens have been treated with bru plus, plant max & rocastem Terralift. It’s our final qualifying weekend of golf, so enjoy it before the winter work starts in November. Have a good weekend to everyone playing⛳️⛳️
