There is no greater honor than being Crystal’s husband and Chizara and Kelechi’s dad. Happy #FathersDay to every dad, stepdad, father figure, and man who’s taken responsibility for someone else. More people stepping up—that’s what our country and world need most right now.

Today on #Juneteenth, we honor freedom delayed—but not denied. As the 1st in my family born in the U.S., I stand on the shoulders of those who dreamed of liberty they’d never live to see. We honor them not just with memory—but with movement. Let’s build what they made possible

Grateful to serve on the American Student Assistance board. Every meeting is a reminder: helping young people find real paths to work is one of the most hopeful, urgent missions in America. Let’s keep building futures—one young person at a time. #FutureOfWork #ASA #Opportunity

Grateful to have moderated two panels on AI this weekend at the Global Black Economic Forum during Essence. AI isn’t just about algorithms and infrastructure—it’s about people. AI will not only be decided by governments and tech giants—but by us. Global Black Economic Forum #EssenceFest

On this July 4th, let’s do more than celebrate. Let’s recommit. Recommit to the values we still struggle to master.Recommit to each other. Because love of country means loving everyone in it—no matter how they voted, how different they are, or how much they have #MorePerfectUnion

As MHEC Vice Chair, I joined Maryland Tech Council at BioHub Maryland to discuss the state’s next Higher Ed Plan. This plan must build an economy as innovative as it is inclusive—powered by training hubs + industry partnerships that fuel the industries of the future. #FutureOfWork

Labor Day isn’t just a holiday. It’s a reminder: America will only go as far as the American worker can take us. So let’s build a future of work that includes everyone—and empowers the people building the industries of tomorrow. Happy #LaborDay 🇺🇸

Grateful to Kristen Edgreen Kaufman & US Council for International Business (USCIB) for convening an honest conversation on AI & the future of work—with voices from New York University, Howard University, NGOs, & F1000 firms. The stakes are clear: AI’s impact is not fixed. Its promise—or peril—depends on what we choose to do now.

At CGI this week, I was reminded why we keep our eyes on the horizon even when the ground feels shaky. As Pres. Clinton’s favorite professor said:”Tomorrow can be better than today, and every one of us has the responsibility to make it so.” That’s the mission. Let’s get to it.

Reunited with my fellow Presidential Leadership Scholars Scholars at CGI this week. They’ve become a family of choice, leaders across every divide, working to build a better country. Grateful to the program, inspired by Secretary Clinton’s words, and hopeful for America because of them

Grateful to celebrate 10 years of the Presidential Leadership Scholars program this week. The best part? Reuniting with my family by choice—leaders who live their values every day and make me better just by knowing them. Here’s to the next 10. #PLS10

Big thanks to @dcstartupweek for having me and Don Beyer for a keynote fireside on the promise + peril of AI for workers, business, and the country. This is one of the most urgent convos of our time—and it was powerful to have it with DMV’s next-gen builders.

Back at Council on Foreign Relations to hear my home state Senator Chris Van Hollen 3 key takeaways: 1)Strength abroad starts with strength at home; 2)Our values are our greatest strategic asset; 3) The next geopolitical frontier: industries of the future—and the workers behind them
