The results of a fatality inquiry into the fatal police shooting of a woman in November 2016 have been released by the provincial government.

Fatality inquiries are aimed at finding ways to prevent similar deaths in the future.

The ASIRT completed their investigation into a Feb. 29, 2024, incident where a Calgary Police officer shot a man carrying a firearm in the leg.

The investigation, aided by body-worn cameras, found the officer acted lawfully.
