HB24-1225 and HCR24-1002 passed unanimously in the Senate today. The resolution will now go to CO voters this Nov. who will decide whether to restore 1st degree murder as a non-bailable offense. Thank you Rhonda Fields for your commitment to keeping our communities safe.
“This bill, respectively, will not make Colorado safer. It will do the opposite. We do need to invest in treatment for those who commit these crimes, but this bill is not the answer to the problem.' - Brian Mason District Attorney for 17th Judicial District. #NOonSB118
'When I read SB24-118, I was sickened. The message of this bill to all service providers and victims is you don’t matter. I’ve spent my entire career being the voice for these victims and I will continue to do so.” Michael Rourke urges a No vote on SB24-118.
