Richard #Parsons, 1st Earl of #Rosse, notorious & dangerous libertine, died at his Dublin residence on 21 June, 1741. He & his sister Lady Elizabeth are buried at St Patrick's Cathedral, #Dublin. My snap of cathedral monument D. Ryan's Merrion Press book

This is desperately sad news. Ray was an icon of early modern Irish history and loyal supporter of Church of Ireland Historical Society. Among his many, many publications include the parish registers of Dublin in 16c and 17c published by Four Courts Press. We wish to extend our sympathies to Bernadette.
