Announcement of the passing of Anthony Hughes MBE, Friday 30th December 2022

Terrible news. It was always a pleasure to catch-up with Anthony, and only so him recently at the Sport Wales summit in December. His contribution to sport was huge. Cwsg mewn hedd.

It is with deep regret and sadness that we announce the passing of our friend and former colleague Elliot Pottinger. Elliot was an incredibly kind, caring and intelligent man with a warm heart and all who met him instantly connected with him. He will be sorely missed by us all.

Last week, 20 professional tennis players players took to the courts at the Cardiff Met Tennis Centre to fight for their share of $25,000 in @UniversalTennis’s The Progress Tour🤑 How did Cardiff Met’s first time hosting a professional tennis tournament go?🤷🏼‍♂️👇

The tournament - The Progress Tour, is a @UniversalTennis pro Tennis organisation. This tournament was a livestreamed professional sports event that involved collaboration, engaged with the local community, involved a local workforce & was of maximum benefit to everyone😎

Behind the scenes, a small team of placement students assisted the running of the event🤝 From production & operations to medical team, and marketing. Cardiff Met students worked hard to assist in making this event work💪
