You cannot have a Tasmanian AFL team without a new stadium - It’s as simple as that. We need the stadium to ensure our Tasmanian AFL team is viable for the long term.

I can't understand how people genuinely think Bellerive oval is an option Not up to hosting footy all the time Can't renovate the ground to what it needs Transport and car parks are poor Can only run 10 events per YEAR with full broadcast lighting, which rules out 4:40's

Can’t people see this 🤷‍♂️ it’s Not about Football it’s about progress and moving our state into the future. Otherwise we will just be a retirement village and our kids move away

Spot on Gerard Whateley #politas For the Greens in Tasmania, opposing development is their sport. They have no interest in sport or the kids who play & dream. Protesting is their sport. 10 yrs or so back it wouldve been unthinkable for the Labor party to sabotage an AFL licence

“At $750m, a stadium with a roof equates to the cost of running health services for about 4 months. With the feds injecting $240m, the cost to Tas is 2-3 months’ health services, and about 6 months if you think the cost will blow out to $1.5 billion.” themercury.com.au/news/tasmania/…

The Greens deserve some credit for putting their job-destroying agenda on full display - which would only lead to more bureaucrats, worse road safety outcomes, scare off investment in Tasmania and ultimately lead to an unsustainable Budget position. premier.tas.gov.au/site_resources…

MPs have resoundingly rejected a Greens bid to condemn public funding for the proposed Macquarie Point stadium. Last week’s budget included $230m towards the project over the next four year. It was defeated 21-2.

Sydney Morning Herald and The Age journalist Nick McKenzie said “today is a day of justice” including for the “brave men of the SAS who stood up and told the truth about who Ben Roberts-Smith is: a war criminal, a bully and a liar”.

In 3 years of existence, the Tasmanian Jackjumpers have now advanced to two Grand finals series. It’s one of the greatest stories in Australian sport history. A championship will solidify that. They were never ever losing tonight. #NBL24
