To the families of Uvalde, we weep with you in your grief and ask for God’s solace for your unfathomable pain. May your angels be lifted up to spite the darkness that took them. And may the light of reason and compassion save the lives of others in their namesake. #Uvalde

Both implicit and explicit biases can produce discrimination, prevent access to resources for others, can jeopardize safety of others. While we can’t completely eliminate our biases, we can identify them and work against them. equitythroughaction.com

If you have seen the #bs #Juneteenth Ice Cream from Walmart, go ahead and grab some Creamalicious Red Velvet Cheesecake instead! Walmart could have used this opportunity to highlight this brand instead of making a cheap copycat. Let’s support Chef Liz! socreamalicious.com

August 23rd marks The International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition. Let us take this day to remember the lives that were lost during the long, tragic history of the transatlantic slave trade and honor those who stood up for what is right.

I speak kindly as we grow & learn, there were some implicit biases showing up at the meeting in regard to “She speaks so well.” @DrPollard_NS does speak well. When we are surprised that women of color speak well, it shows we need more women of color at the table. ❤️ -Dr. Cruz
