So very proud to be part of Brady Lab ♥️ We are all incredibly luck to have Siobhan as a mentor, and friend. Congratulations also to all other new HHMI investigators, specially the plant biologists José Dinneny and Mary Gehring! Fantastic day for the field! 🙌

Science is just better when you are free to communicate ideas in a supportive environment. This resonates so strongly with everybody here (6.8K likes already), and still we keep using horrible, slow, censoring systems for sharing scientific knowledge. We can change this.

I am so excited that this is work is published! Please check out this tour-de-force of Conchi Manzano which describes the development, function and genetic regulation of the tomato exodermis. Bonus - this cell wall barrier is actively repressed in inner cortical layers.

Most plants can`t handle salt, but have evolved strategies to survive in it. How do they do it?🌱 Excited to share some of our first insights using a new cryoelemental imaging technique to answer these questions at the subcellular scale! (1/8) nature nature.com/articles/s4158…
