Mourning the loss of Dr. Diane Griffin, who passed away on Monday. Dr. Griffin was a founding member of CMM JHU and chaired our advisory board. A distinguished virologist, she was an elected member of Natl Acad Sci and Natl Acad Med. We remember her with gratitude.

Diane was a pillar of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at JHSPH and indeed all of Johns Hopkins University . She was also a close collaborator of our Johns Hopkins BMB faculty. Her kindness, collaboration and mentorship will not be forgotten.

Very sad to hear this news. Dr. Diane Griffin was an inspirational leader and scientist who was a pioneer in virology. She paved the way for other women to pursue and succeed in science. She will be sorely missed. Her legacy will live on 💐
