Estimated time to reopen I80 is approximately 1 1/2 hours

This is a double Fatal crash involving a wrong way vehicle vs a Big Rig. Both occupants of the car died on scene. The Big Rig driver was not injured. CHP is continuing to investigate this collision.

I-80 is now reopened to all traffic. Thank you for your patience while we investigated this crash.

In the area of 12412 Shirt Tail Canyon Road, we have a solo vehicle (single male occupant) traffic collision. The vehicle has rolled over off the roadway down a steep embankment. Unknown if drugs and/or alcohol are a factor.

I80 WB at Hwy 174 is closed due to a major injury collision

I80 WB traffic is being diverted through Colfax and back onto I80 at Placer Hills Rd.

I80 WB #1 lane is now open and traffic is starting to move past the collision location

I80 WB all lanes are now open.
