We’ve received questions regarding the Walnut Street Bridge closing for renovations. At this time, the pedestrian bridge remains open. While plans are being discussed to renovate and preserve for years to come, there has not been a date set. We’ll let you well in advance.

Wilcox Boulevard Tunnel will be closed on the following dates and times for maintenance and cleaning: Wednesday, March 15 - 8:30 AM until 3:00 PM Thursday, March 16 - 8:30 AM until 3:00 PM Friday, March 17 - 8:30 AM until 3:00 PM

There will be no change to the Solid Waste & Recycling collection schedule on #GoodFriday, April 07, 2023. The City Administration buildings will be closed on Friday and reopen on Monday, April 10, 2023. The hours of our other facilities can be found below.

The northbound travel lanes of N Holtzclaw Ave between Wilcox Blvd and Citico Ave are closed until Friday. Tennessee American Water contractors are making final repairs and preparing for paving.

the DPW Stormwater division will conduct its annual citizen rain barrel pick-up on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 7:00am to 1:30pm At 1250 Market Street in the parking lot. Due to construction, King Street may only be accessible via Market Street.
