This, is my flag
I served under it
I never wrapped myself in it
I never shagged it
I never used it as an excuse for racism

I am genuinely astonished by all those American patriots who go into raptures over trad, based, family, Christian, the thin blue line, the spirit of '76, minutemen, brave underdogs with weapons in hand kicking ass, revolutions for freedom, nation, and values — and yet, in some

forbes.com/sites/carltonr… I don't "get" this. I'm not media savvy, but I thought brand names were supposed to eb snappy. The number of syllables has doubled - more if "Trust" is used - which I suspect it won't be.

When you read about these overheard conversations between Putin and Xi about extending life to 150 years and achieving immortality through constant organ transplants, you realize that the unfree world is ruled by deranged men with a gargantuan thirst for boundless power — and

I'm not a housing/planning specialist, but if this is true, a "knock on effect" re- rural/Green belt development (as described at the end of the 🧵 ) has big implications for land use/transport in rural areas .

The car didn't "turn" or "lose control". To suggest otherwise is to claim the car itself was "in control" of its manoeuvers. And that's a vital distinction in reporting when there are self-driving tests already on our roads. But it's also misleading to state it this way.

Reasonable article here theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2… but if it's illegally modified it is NOT an e-bike, it's an illegal electric motorcycle. As is explained in the article.

Interesting piece by Richard Prideaux . I note especially: "But the issue isn’t ignorance. It’s indifference." As with bad driving, and as with careless/dangerous driving, "education" for those who might desire it just isn't enough.

This is the "road safety" industry we pay for with our taxes. Not physical restrictions in the highway (School Streets) or vehicle (ISA + dashcam/black box), or enforcement + deterrent sentencing, but polite requests to obey the law. We've had 100 years of this. RoadPeace

It’s painful seeing proud parents posting pics of their kids going back to school whilst the planet goes up in flames with barely any outrage or alarm. There should be more noise about what our kids are facing.

Despicable. As an oncologist who sees cancer patients every day this is complete and utter nonsense. Vaccines save lives. They don’t cause cancer. The only thing that’s a risk to your children are Reform. theguardian.com/politics/2025/…
