Learning about fossils across a range AOLE’s. We’re enjoying researching Mary Anning, carefully observing fossils, role play using dinosaurs and making our own fossils using dough. A great way to spend a warm Friday afternoon 😰

In Year 1 we are using our digital skills to create drawings, give our work a name and then save it in a folder. We’ve been reading ‘The Little White Owl’ so our drawings are of owls which we plan to frame and sell at our Christmas Fayre #creativecontributors #digitalcompetency

We had a VIP in Y1 to tell us about what Cefn Fforest Primary was like 48years ago. Books/photos can tell us so much but real life accounts are far more memorable. Who knew she designed our logo 23yeara ago? Thanks to Mrs Carter, it was good to have her back with us 💕J Farmer

How lovely to welcome parents into class to support us with our end goal. We‘d learnt about what our school was like in the past&nowadays. We then collaborated and made future schools designs using junk materials. I wonder if these robot teachers will be any good? J Farmer

We celebrated #earthday by thinking about ways we can help our planet/living things around us. One of our activities involved helping our caretaker,Mr Holder to pick up litter. We then recycled it so that it can be used again, it made us feel good Cefn Fforest Primary
