Ran into USGS water samplers on one of our bridge stops while collecting our own water samples along the Red River of the North today! Such a cool surprise, and we even got an impromptu demo of how this Riverboat works. Peyton Loss

A jump in aphid nos. this week. English grain aphids and soybean aphids were on the move. Populations similar to last yearand very close to the 2013-2020 average. Aphids increase in August so there may be increases through coming weeks.

Only 6 trap site this week. Average capture/trap 1/2 of last week.  Vectors & non-vector species both down.  Overall, very few aphids were captured.  Still green peach aphid @ 1 location and soybean aphids still moving. Check out all the data & maps aphidalert.blogspot.com
