In this Nature Communications paper we demonstrate a 4D printing technology for manufacturing #MXene hydrogels with customizable geometries, 3D porous architectures, large specific surface areas, high electrical conductivities, and good mechanical properties. nature.com/articles/s4146…

Highly recommend checking out this article if you are interested in #MXene synthesis, especially new MXenes. Very nice study from Linköpings universitet nature.com/articles/s4169…

Cheers to Meikang Han Danzhen Zhang Akash Singh Tetiana Hryhorchuk Christopher Shuck Teng Zhang Lingyi Bi Bernard McBride Vivek Shenoy & Yury Gogotsi on the publication of the first analysis of IR properties of a wide range of #MXenes in @MaterialsToday ! 👏👏👏 bit.ly/3zlKTIh

We are shouting a huge congratulations to undergraduate lab assistant, Marley Downes, who was named a 2023 Barry Goldwater Scholar! Supported by her mentors, Christopher Shuck , Yury Gogotsi , and Mark Anayee, Marley’s research focus is the synthesis and characterization of new #MXenes.

Congratulations to Drexel Nanomaterials Institute (DNI) researcher Marley Downes, BS/MS materials science and engineering ’24, on being named a Barry Goldwater Scholar! Way to go, Marley! drexel.edu/engineering/ne…

Wow! Our article "4D printing of #MXene hydrogels for high-efficiency pseudocapacitive energy storage" is among the #NCOMTop25 most read Chemistry and Materials Sciences articles in Nature Communications from 2022! Check out the article here: nature.com/articles/s4146…

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Mohit Saraf We published a few very nice article together: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.100… onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.10… …mistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.100… and more, future collaborations and exchanges! I had a pleasure meeting with Daniel in Rep. Frank Pallone 's office on behalf of Materials Research Society to discuss funding for basic science research. I'm proud of NJ's commitment to science and our future workforce.

How can you make better #MXenes? Remember that MXenes are materials, not chemicals. These ares ynthesis factors that influence MXene properties link.springer.com/article/10.155… Materials Research Society (MRS)

Are the large-data machine learning approaches accurate for new materials discovery? Herein, I discuss this question, focusing on the recent Nature article and provide direct validation of their predictions against currently existing MAX phase chemistries: christophershuck.godaddysites.com/essays/f/is-de…

Modern dissemination of science is no longer fully based on meritorious science. One can game the system to publish articles that aren't properly reviewed/vetted. Herein, I discuss a few major structural problems I've observed in scientific publishing. christophershuck.godaddysites.com/essays/f/publi…

This newly published article provides a very detailed and up-to-date description of Ti3C2Tx synthesis. It can guide your #MXene research. 2D MXenes Drexel Nanomaterials Institute (DNI) Christopher Shuck rdcu.be/dBMwK
