Exciting times for @HelenWCam over at Cambridge Earth Sciences!
A great couple of days attending #GGRiP at Cambridge Earth Sciences. I had my first crack at creating visual summaries of the 15 min talks as I listened. Not easy! Apologies for any misrepresented science or typos, and the early talks I have missed here!!!
Fully funded #geochemistry PhD to work with me Durham Earth Science and Nick Roberts British Geological Survey on fluid flow in Lower Strength Sedimentary rocks to help characterise such rocks for potential geological disposal facilities: earthworks-jobs.com/geoscience/dur… durham.ac.uk/departments/ac…
Lovely day in Bristol at the launch of the new GW4 Alliance communities, great to chat with our new collaborators, and looking forward to some exciting new research in CELTIC lab
We love HR-SF-ICPMS here Cardiff School of Earth & Environmental Sciences. Our original Thermo Scientific Element XR is our oldest serving instrument in the fleet. We recently acquired a new Thermo Scientific Element 2 to back it up… welcome to the team! #gladwedidntdropit
It was great having Ethan F. Baxter and PhD student Kyra Croft to visit for a few days. Watch this space for more garnet goodness to come...

We love SF HR ICPMS and love that we now have a fully functioning younger brother to accompany our Thermo Scientific Element XR!
Today our new Thermo Scientific Element 2 started spitting out its first high precision trace element data on actual samples! #rock10
🚨 Fully funded PhD 🚨 We have a fully funded PhD here at Cardiff School of Earth & Environmental Sciences to study carbon removal through enhanced rock weathering in collaboration with UNDO │ Carbon Removal. Deadline is 1st March. Get in touch if you want to discuss! findaphd.com/phds/project/q…
A very exciting day here Cardiff School of Earth & Environmental Sciences as we took delivery of our new Thermo Scientific Neoma MC-ICPMS/MS! Thankfully the welsh weather was kind to us and we got all the pieces into the lab without a hitch.
