With investment scams you are asked to invest in an amazing financial opportunity because: • It will provide high returns and low risk • It’s a hot tip or from insider information • You need to buy now before others hear about it #YouAreNotAlone

With service scams it’s common to be provided with service notifications that need your immediate attention because your computer: • Has a virus • Has been comprised and is leaking your personal information • Has been hacked #YouAreNotAlone #CDVS

It is common with emergency/grandparent scams to receive a call stating that your Grandchild is in trouble either by your supposed grandchild or by authorities. They may ask for money for: • Legal representation • Emergency hospital care • Bail • To cover damages

It is common with CRA scams to receive calls stating that you owe back taxes and: • Will be arrested • Your accounts will be frozen • You can pay installments by bit-coin or gift cards to stop further action
