Yodit Willet, a 4th grader at Runnymede ES, was a winner in the If I Were Mayor, I Would essay contest sponsored by the MD Municipal League. She received a cash prize and a Governor’s Citation and attended an essay contest ceremony at the State House. bit.ly/3QHXbDY

Anna Furdui, a senior at Liberty High School, has been named a Dorsey Scholar at McDaniel College, earning a 4-year scholarship, including full tuition, room, and board. This is the highest academic honor at McDaniel and is valued at more than $250,000. bit.ly/4dLlJ98

Sandymount Elementary School partnered for an Author’s Night at the Finksburg branch of the Carroll County Public Library. Little books written by students were on display, and students and families enjoyed lots of fun reading and writing activities!

Students had a great time at the Spring Challenge held on Wednesday at Westminster High School! The Challenge gave students with disabilities an opportunity to participate in a wide variety of athletic events in the spirit of the Special Olympics.
