Yesterday, we concluded the 1st day of our learning journey for community museum managers with a visit at Tooro Botanical Gardens, where biodiversity is understood, valued and conserved. We later had dinner and entertainment at Koogere Foundation Uganda.

Midway through our journey, participants made a significant stop at Tooro Botanical Garden. The visit provided an immersive opportunity to reflect on the critical role traditional ecological knowledge plays in both heritage preservation and climate resilience. #IMD2025

'Museums and community outreaches' was our study theme yesterday at Koogere Foundation Museum. We later paid a visit to Kiriba Kya Thumba hotsprings and also had a stop at the equator in Kasese. This is all part of the learning journey for community museum managers.
