Are you from Rio Blanco County county? Drilling beginning in 1901 went hyperbolic after the Weber discovery in the Raven-1 well (1931). The Rangely Field has produced nearly 1 billion barrels of oil and is the 6th largest field in the Lower 48 and the largest in the Rockies.

Do you live in Cañon City, Colorado? The first Colorado oil discovery was in 1862 in the Florence Oil Field along Oil Creek. This field was the first commercial field West of the Mississippi. Only 23' deep Alexander Cassidy had offset natural oil seeps.

Do you live in Logan County Clerk county? Oil was first discovered in the Yenter Field in 1950, kicking off a drilling boom where almost 4,000 wells were drilled. Today there are still about 30 producing fields however less than 100 producing wells.
