Our latest preprint shares a birthday with its first author Belén García Pascual ! A (we think useful) way of comparing transition graphs for Markov models and HMMs, applied to accumulation models for anti-microbial resistance evolution. biorxiv.org/content/10.110… 1/
At Universitetet i Bergen Mathematics Open Day today we "simulated" the evolution of multidrug resistance in tuberculosis using data, yarn, and corkboards... with a few dozen folks we started to reproduce results from sciencedirect.com/science/articl…. Each left-right step is resistance to a new drug:

Math-based evolution modeling and exploration brought to us by Iain Johnston. Great simple visualization on how to work with it by speaking “millennial” with Pokémon as example😂 From a two-dimensional matrix to a hypercubic approach doi.org/10.1093/bioinf… #NordicAMRConference
I anledning at WHO nylig publiserte sin oppdaterte liste over de mest faretruende bakteriene for mennesker har Nina Langeland og Magne Sydnes CAMRIA Universitetet i Bergen en kronikk i dagens Bergens Tidende bt.no/btmeninger/deb…
