#Chicago is in solidarity with our Palestinian family demanding an end to the occupation, immediate land back & reparations for everyone impacted by the genocide!

Yesterday Miracle Boyd joined the students at Northwestern demanding a #Cease_fire_In_Gaza_Now and #FreePalestine

The movement is growing & fascism won’t erode Black & Palestinian solidarity because our collective liberation lies in defeating
imperialism/colonialism! 🖤🇵🇸✊🏾

We know that CPD has been the instigator and source of violence at protests from the 2020 rebellion to the uprising in solidarity with Palestine, and without this commitment, this statement serves as a signal to the police to brutalize us with impunity. Protesting is not a crime!

In response to this, our coalition is calling for a commitment that her office will bring charges against officers who violate the law and our rights when we march in August.

The Chicago Tribune editorial board published an article on April 26th where they quoted Kim Foxx stating that her office would not follow their policy of dropping charges against protesters during the time of the DNC. Read our full statement in response: marchondnc2024.org/statements
