1/ Homeless tent encampments have long been a fixture of West Coast cities. But they’re now spreading across the US in cities large and small. Records obtained by The Associated Press show that attempts to clear them are increasing in some cities as a result.

No picture but the humpback whale that’s been hanging out by Seattle is right now near the ferry terminal. It just dove. Pretty cool to see.

Here’s my very far away video. It hung out in one spot for a while, seemingly diving several times. Alas, no breaching. Maybe next time.
