.Gannett still has not reached an equitable agreement with the members of Newspaper Guild of Rochester. I continue to urge a resolution that benefits workers, the community and the company.

NEWS: This morning our members unanimously ratified a new two-year contract, our first since 2019. It comes after more than two years of negotiations with NewsGuild of New York and a 19-day strike in April, the first in our history. ✊✊✊

It’s hard to put into words exactly how I’m feeling at this moment (more to come) but for now… WE HAVE A CONTRACT!!! So much love for my coworkers and all those who’ve stood by our sides during this incredibly difficult yet rewarding time. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

READY TO WALK: Our members at six Gannett newspapers in New York and New Jersey have had enough and voted by 95% to walk off the job. They are fed up with Gannett disregard for labor law and refusal to agree to a fair contract after three long years of bargaining.
