Assembly Bill A.785, Desha’s Law, just passed! This lifesaving bill ensures all NY schools have cardiac emergency plans & AED access. As a former educator, I know how much families trust schools. This law helps them protect our kids with confidence & care.

Assembly Bill A.6055 has passed the Assembly! This bill gives assaulted healthcare workers the right to provide police statements at their workplace, removing barriers to justice and honoring their courage. Our frontline heroes deserve safety, dignity, and support.

This morning we celebrated 100 years of Roscoe Conkling Elementary School with a NYS Assembly Resolution. A beautiful tribute to its legacy, alumni, Roscoe Conkling, Lou Parrotta, and two incredible 6th grade speakers who made the day unforgettable.

Honored to attend the Elizabeth Gerling Legacy Dinner tonight, a moving tribute to a woman who led with heart. Her legacy lives on through a scholarship empowering students just as she always did.

This morning, I had the honor of presenting NYS Assembly Certificates to four brave teens who saved a family from a house fire after prom. Standing beside my Senate colleagues as they received NY’s highest civilian honor was truly moving. True heroes walk among us.

This afternoon, I was proud to present a NYS Assembly Citation to Vinny Faraone at Holland Farms, honoring 40 years of extraordinary EMS service. Vinny’s lifelong commitment to care and community is nothing short of inspiring. Congratulations on a well-earned retirement!

Today I welcomed Speaker Heastie to Rome as he kicked off his statewide tour. Together, we secured $3.4M for critical YMCA renovations and announced $216K for tornado recovery efforts. Grateful to our amazing local partners, this is how we build a stronger Mohawk Valley.

This morning I had the honor of presenting a Certificate of Merit to Dwayne Pressley, founder of Utica Teens in Action, a youth-led business empowering teens through hands-on jobs like cleanups, moving help & more. A true community leader!

This afternoon, I visited Connected Community Schools, Clark Mills FD & Senior Center to deliver meals and support those impacted by the storm. Thank you to Oneida County, Chobani, first responders & local nonprofits for stepping up. The Mohawk Valley always comes together.

This morning, my office attended the Greater Utica Chamber’s Government Affairs & Economic Development Council meeting. Grateful for the continued collaboration across our local business community to strengthen the economy and support growth in our region.

Today we kicked off #IceCreamMonth at Inside Scoop in Stittville with gratitude, celebration, and (of course) a scoop or two! 🍦 Behind every cone is a hardworking NY dairy farmer, and today, we honored them with a Legislative Resolution & a heartfelt community event.
