if it’s going to take you MONTHS to a year to get to commissions, then maybe don’t publicly open for business… Yes artist need breaks, they need free time for themselves , stuff happens. But there’s fucking nuance lol you know damn well if you can’t fit any space, then don’t.

To the artists: clients should NOT beg you for updates, it should be common sense to update them with every step like sketch, base colors, etc. until you finish the art, if delays occur or life intervenes communication is key and counts as an update as well.
